Mountain Vista senior Jayden Nats and junior Tyler Downs led the Golden Eagles to back-to-back boys 5A titles with a 59-61 victory over Valor Christian at the Colorado High School Activities Association state championship meet at Norris Penrose Events Center. Nats finished fifth by covering the 5-kilometer layout in 16:01.6 and Downs earned eighth place in 16:09.6 for Mountain Vista, which captured its seventh team title in the past decade and extended its streak of podiium appearances to 12 straight years.
